I think the involvement in greek orgs has dropped in recent years
I know that when I was there a large percentage of the students were involved in greek orgs but from what I can find it looks like only about 16% of students are involved today for fall 2024 total undergrad enrollment was 37,140 https://news.illinois.edu/illinois-welcomes-largest-number-of-students-in-university-history/ and there were about 6,000 undergrads involved in greek orgs https://fsaffairs.illinois.edu/information/snapshot that's still a lot of students and I would agree that they can/should be important to a great gameday atmosphere. But there are a lot of GDI students that we can hopefully pull in. I would just hope that we can get to a point where attending football games is something that most students want to do
