The gulf states are both hostile to Iran and allies of the US and, increasingly, of Israel.

If they are becoming indiscriminate in their counter strikes, I’d be worried about gulf shipping. I think the world is a lot less dependent on gulf oil than it was 20+ years ago, but that could still cause significant global economic disruption, I think.
