Distinction without a difference? Maybe. But we also have no idea what the incentives or precise terms were for the promotion.
And having attended the game last night, other than the line to redeem the vouchers, it didn't have any noticeable impact on the atmosphere whatsoever. And by all accounts the same was true for Michigan.
Other than some skeevy dudes asking me if I had cards to sell, there was no actual noticeable impact on the game day experience, good or bad. We didn't sell a bunch of extra tickets because of it, didn't have any impact on the crowd.
Total nothing burger, IMO. But people gotta complain about something.

because i don't give a fuck that it was leerfield. the DIA had to agree which meant they had total control and approval. and they chose to do this.
