It's the first greenfield refinery (where no other refineries exist) since the 70s but hardly the first refinery. It's good that it's going forward, though. It's needed.

It's a $3.5-4B refinery. A $300B refinery would absolutely be newsworthy. Insanely so. Like a $300B stadium for the Bears.
The $300B value is the projected value of the crude that will be processed there over the next 20 years.
They also describe it as, "the first new oil refinery built in the United States in nearly 50 years."
