The U.S. decision to temporarily lift some restrictions on Russian oil has delivered a geopolitical victory to the Kremlin on top of the boon that Russia’s war-strained budget is already receiving from soaring energy prices.

Sundas is, unfortunately, my first cousin. I am also a U of I alum. Thankfully, I went to school at U of I before she attended the school. I have no contact with her because I have cut her off. She wasn’t invited to my wedding and it was a very big deal in the family that I took a stance against her because most of the family is afraid of her and non-confrontational. I think that comes with being Pakistani and always trying to bury the truth because you’re afraid of what people will say. But now it’s come to the point where our family cannot avoid the truth.

She has been destroying our family with her lies and bullshit for nearly 12 years. I knew from the moment she went missing that she’s lying. I’m not sure how she spoofed her location to be at the detention centers, but I think she’s capable of literally anything. She is an awful person. Over the years, she has broken into family member’s homes, stolen money and phones, damaged property, made false accusations, and forced others to do drugs and crimes for years. Sundas even publicly claims that her own father is a pedophile, but has never filed charges or shown any proof. No one has ever filed a police report against her because my family is full of pussies and try to solve things internally. Clearly we’ve done a fantastic job! Her older sister and only sibling, Sarah, and her mother have protected her for way too long and are enablers. Something is deeply wrong with all of them, but I think her mom and sister really do believe her lies. I think Kevin Morrison has no idea whom he’s fighting for.

She loves making false accusations so it’s hard to figure out when she’s telling the truth. I’ve come to assume everything that she says is a lie. Her dad’s side of the family has a history of serious unaddressed mental health issues.

She is definitely suffering from something serious, but has destroyed many lives along the way. Now, she’s setting back the fight against disinformation, ICE, and our tyrannical government and giving ammo to the enemy.

I can’t believe I’m on DHS’s side. She’s truly the worst human I know and I wish hell for her. There is so much more I have to say. We could probably make a documentary about her lies.

Yes, the company is SAP SE. She listed them as her employer on LinkedIn and you can also conclude this based on the screenshots of text messages her friends sent her asking if SAP will be sending a lawyer for her. SAP SE have confirmed she does not work for them and no one from their company was detained. I don’t think there are any “coworkers”, but maybe some co-criminals. She might be a part of something much more complex. I won’t be surprised by anything anymore.

Biden admin DID begin refilling the SPR, but there's a limit to how fast it can be refilled because it needs repair every time it's drawn down, and also because it doesn't make much sense to fill it when prices are high.

As you say, because prices were high. It doesn't make sense to load it up with $80-90/bbl oil like we saw for a lot of '22 and '23.

He publicly authorized some purchases that were mostly on the small side and levels rebounded a bit.

But we're still at levels we haven't seen since the early 80s.

Yes, those making over a million are fine, but they're also the ones that have the easiest means to leave the state.

All that capital gains revenue you were counting on from Jeff Bezos? He left. Income tax revenue from Bill Gates? He's basically leaving. Howard Schultz? He just announced he's leaving.

The average state+local tax rate is the 3rd highest in the nation (and metro King Co is the highest). Gas tax is crazy (highest in the nation by far). To be "fair" (and I really hate that term as it applies to progressive taxes) this bill should have reduced both of those. They added some token things to be exempt, but didn't go far enough, IMO.

If you don't understand the slippery slope you're living under a rock. $1M is just the start, and was easy because only 20,000 people (0.2%) will be impacted. If this passes muster through the courts, an income tax has been validated as constitutional, and don't expect them to stop at 1M. The next set of congresscritters will just ratchet it down in response to the latest spending problem.

That tax is also bonkers because you can't offset it with cap losses.

Also here's Marco literally saying his comments were about the timing. Bibi obviously pressured Trump for months to attack Iran, but it's also something Trump wanted to do and built up a large force presence over time.

The fact that the Trump admin is also bad at coordinating and planning for the repercussions of their actions is hardly proof they were taken off guard and forced to act. They wanted to go in and were going in.

Not sure why trying to absolve Trump of his incompetence and put it on the boogeyman but maybe Bibi is also responsible for Trump's inability to coordinate other aspects of the government.

But I'm sure the one comment that should be taken at face value is that one comment Marco made despite it being belayed by the larger context of his comments, his denial of what many took away, the actual reporting, the situation at hand. That one comment is the truth and everything else is a lie.
