My oldest daughter played 1 years of travel hoops, the youngest 2 years. Thought it would help them transitioning from a very small Junior High to a very competitive (but relatively small) High School. Think it did for my oldest, not so much for my youngest. The travel basketball & softball both played when they were much younger (a couple of years around 5th & 6th grade) wasn't much more than glorified school ball. All local tournaments, all the kids got to play. Cheap and was pretty fun for them and the parents.
