my oldest will be a freshman in high school this fall and we aren't at that point yet, and i'm not really sure where her path will go.

and to be fair, i'm not sure there's ever been a point in my life where i said, "this is what i want to be when i grow up" aside from the youthful dreams of being a professional baseball or basketball player. i went to college and started out as an administration of justice major because i thought i wanted to be a cop or some career in law enforcement but that went by the wayside after the first year or so. i then just kind of picked a major that i thought would provide various opportunities for a career but really without a specific lane, and that's where i am today. i never thought "this is what i want to do the rest of my life"
