1) Do research, especially on Reddit (although I would not listen to their recommendations as I would expect they might be a little more out there than your kid will want)

2) Talk to current DePaul students if possible

3) Come to Chicago for a weekend and just walk around to get a feel for the neighborhoods. It has the double benefit of learning more about Chicago and also you will see a ton of notes on buildings that say they have apartments for rent

If they aren't in Lincoln Park, they will need to be close to the red line, brown line, or Halsted bus if they are planning on using public transit.
