I lived in South Georgia, not like this at all.
Further south than whatever “more rural areas” means. I’m not buying it. South is less personally racist, more integrated (you find whites and blacks in the same work places, restaurants, youth sports, etc) than the Midwest by a mile. Not a utopia, not perfect, by no means has it been like what this board thinks “the South” is like in the last 25 years.
