it's what i've been warning of since just after the war started. we're about to have a massive oil deficit where the world demand is about 10% greater than the world supply every day. and reserves around the world are getting tapped out. our SPR is about to hit its lowest levels since 1983 probably next week.

even if the strait opened today (it won't), it's 4-6 months to see any relief, it's 1 year minimum to build back any reserves, it's 3-5 years to rebuild the infrastructure.

we're not going back to sub $3 gas nationwide anytime soon.
