Essengue is the type of guy I’m saying this should be for though.
Despite his draft position, he is very much a “competing for bottom of roster” spot guy. I expect he’ll spend most if not all of the season in the G League. I know there’s some value to the games but GM’s would probably prefer they were behind close doors because of the overreactions that they result in.  Previous Message
For example, Essengue is now coming off the bench for the Summer league team. That is dire for a guy drafted as early as he was. If he can't even start in these games it's becoming less likely he is going to get significant minutes this upcoming season. He has some defensive skills, but is just so raw. Gonna need another season of development.
Wagler has shown flashes, he's gonna have his rookie struggles, but he'll be fine.
