Ripped off the driver side mirror, dented in the door and front panel over the tire(door doesn’t open right any more), and cracked the windshield in multiple places.

Wasn’t windy or rainy. Just a tree that woke up that day and chose violence. On the one hand, this is an incredibly freak accident that seems like terrible luck. On the other hand, we feel really fortunate that he wasn’t hurt. The main trunk landed in the other lane, so if he’d been going that way…

A bit hard to orient in the pic below, but we are pretty sure the broken branch pointed towards camera is what did most of the damage, and it got snapped by the car. He was traveling to the right in that pic (you can see the road and yellow middle lines to the right of pic.)
