Her husband bought her a bunch of gear hoping she’d get into photography with him. She wasn’t into it, and this was the last thing she was getting rid of. At least that’s the story, but it seemed believable. I told her the price seemed low, but I didn’t get the impression she cared at all about the money.

Seller says they have a Canon 24-70 f/2.8 L II new in a slightly damaged box and they're selling it for $500.
Can meet up this afternoon at a Walgreens parking lot in Aurora.
The ad only has pics of the box, and the seller says it's because the box is sealed.
I asked if I can open it to test it, and they reiterated that the box is sealed and I should let them know if I'm not ok with that because they have other interested buyers lined up.
