Quick IMPE story
I'm waiting on the sidelines to play and Marcus Liberty is on the court. He's dribbling on the break and a 5-foot-10 penguin-looking white dude decides his best plan is to stand just in front of the rim and take a charge. Yes, in a pickup game. Liberty landed on him, which knocked him to the ground, and then punched him in the face. Seemed like the minimum penalty for such a dumbass play. Told this story years later to Jimmy Collins while interviewing him when he was UIC's coach. His response? "I know he DID!"  Previous Message They all seemed pretty cool and fun. They actually let me touch the ball, but I had to pass it right back. It's one thing watching them play on TV or from the stands and completely different when you're on the court with them. Previous Message Most of them were incredibly cool. Tony Pashos was the one outlier. Just a flat out dick. Jay Big Papa Kulaga was the best. Kurt Kittner very quiet and reserved.
