She worked in the financial district, evacuated after the 1st tower hit. A big group of people started walking north in Manhattan. At that point, nobody truly knew what was happening. She said they turned and watched the 2nd tower fall from somewhere around Chinatown.
She lived in Queens at the time and there was no way to get off Manhattan. She ended up walking up to the upper east side and stayed with a friend that evening because she couldn’t get home.
