to compensate for that and still try to make us competitive

grabbing a retired coach from the scrap heap was probably one of the only real options we had. I don’t believe for a second that he was ever fully sold on Hauck being a long-term answer.

long to allow Aaron Henry to find a soft landing, which delayed our ability to get a suitable replacement. Maybe I'm wrong about that but it really feels like we had to go far afield to hire Hauk. And of course there's the question of how much "want to" there was from an old guy who had just retired because Roger Murtaugh.

He all but confirmed Roger Cooper will continue to be the voice delivering the calls to the field.

Confirmed communication was broken.

Gently lamented the conversations he was having with Bobby on Sundays and Mondays. Intimated they were contentious. Sounded like he looks forward to those be done and over with.

Said on multiple occasions we need to put our players on the best position possible. And that sometimes means calls that utilize the strength of our players versus the strength of the call.

And he said the transition is a bigger deal to the outside world than inside the building.

All in, it just seems like he and Bobby weren’t on the same page philosophically.

BB said that we'll learn more about who is calling plays, etc. on Saturday.
