Just a stunning display of courage and strength in the sport of tennis.

These 2 guys can literally DOMINATE the sport for years if they want to. Besides perhaps Shelton, Draper and Fonseca, I still see these 2 as heads and shoulders above everyone else in tennis.

He was at Roland Garros, attending as a fan, and they had him on the broadcast, mainly because they could. Between the star fucking and the general non sequitur nature of the interview, it was just really weird.

There has been an American man in almost every quarterfinal for the past 2-3 years. Couple finalists and semifinals thrown in too. Women have been better but it trending in the right direction

Since the Sampras/Agassi/Fish run, that we had 6 americans across the two genders in the round of 16. It's happened everywhere else, but clay has continued to be our nemesis.

Over the last couple of years, we've seen more of the young guys embrace the idea that they have to play on red clay for longer periods of time. We rely entirely on green clay in the US, which is like playing on cat litter, has nowhere near the same bounce or slideability. And then wonder why we don't get the same results. Luckily, we've had women up at the top of the game continuously. Men got held up on BIG SERVE BIG FOREHAND with no ability to actually construct points.

Early to mid 90s were also good, especially for the men until all the clay court specialists took over and dominated from about 1995 to the present. Since about 2000, Americans have been almost nonexistent.

The women have always had some good representation at the FO, until about the time Serena started to tail off and then retire. Right now I'd say Coco Gauff is the only sure-fire thing. But honestly after Sabalenka, anyone can win.

When they did a group senior citizens trip to Paris several years ago. Both those old hags don't know the first thing about the sport of tennis. A sport that I literally eat, sleep and breathe as a fan.

The French used to be my least fav GS of the 4 to me. But I've done a total 180 in the last 20 years or so. I love it alot more than I did as a kid.

Throw in the Rafa Nadal ceremony this week that the French Open absolutely hit out the park!!! The committee and the tennis world could not have nailed that any better if they had tried. Really wrapped a huge bow on the tournament and made it look amazing in the process!
