Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch confirmed what has been a logical assumption since this past season ended: that Terrence Shannon Jr. will have a much larger role on the team next season. Speaking with Paul Allen on KFAN radio on Tuesday, Finch said Shannon will be a "significant part" of Minnesota's rotation in his second NBA campaign.

"What we love about TJ is that he has a very well-defined game," Finch said. "He knows who he is, and we saw that. You can throw him in at any moment. Next year, obviously he's gonna be a significant part of our rotation."

the only time he really got significant minutes was when they had injuries. He was largely an afterthought beyond that.

Said in the presser he wants more "easy buckets," meaning transition/turnover generated.

We'll still probably be limited in what we can run based on personnel--Tomi and Z can't get out and hard hedge and trap. But getting in passing lanes would be a welcome change.

Hamer's duties have been "reassigned."

Problem is that it’s not like we get Ty’s NIL money back so there may not be funds to add someone else.

Removing Ty plus what will likely be a long waiting game on Petrovic’s eligibility does introduce quite a bit of risk.

We are slotted to select in about 10 min. We can get our current seats back. Only had to increase our donation by $750 to have that chance.

Here's the dilemma:
1. Get aisle seats in 200 level
or
2. Move down 4 rows in 200 and be 2 seats into the row.

I think I'm leaning towards moving down 4 rows.

So we lost the aisle, but moved down 4 rows and are only 2 seats in. Overall, I’m pleased we didn’t end up in worse shape after having to up our donation to have a chance at our long time seats.

There’s a substantially more narrow pool of people who can commit to 15-20 tickets where half the games are mid-week in the winter. Living 2hr away football is a no-brainer. And conversely basketball is also a no-brainer that I wouldn’t.

Starting next season, any out-of-bounds call, basket interference/goaltending call and/or block/charge whistles in the restricted arc near the rim can be challenged at any point in a game by a coach — with a catch. A coach (and only a coach) can ask for a monitor review if his team has at least one timeout remaining. Each coach is allowed one review at the start of each game and will be given one bonus review if the first challenge is successfully overturned.

An unsuccessful review will result in the loss of a timeout.

While out-of-bounds calls are no longer able to be double-checked on the monitor unless a coach challenges the call, we'll still see officials using instant replay to check for "timing mistakes, scoring errors, shot clock violations, 2-point versus 3-point field goal attempts, flagrant fouls" and more. Some of these reviews are important and unavoidable. Others aren't and will continue to creep into not just end-of-game scenarios, but stalls much earlier.
