game for each team. when the Sky is projected as a bottom dweller and the Fever are expected to be a contender.

But, I guess the WNBA got what they wanted out of that game.

And a lot of the WNBA veterans play old school double post basketball that was popular in the 80s/90s NBA.

My biggest issue with the style is the officiating allows players to hand check full court. Caitlin Clark is getting picked up full court for 40 mins against some of these teams. Of course she and her team are going to get frustrated when she's fouled 25 times a game and the refs only call a handful.

Because they can't really embrace the current style without the insane athleticism*

I also think:

1. Angel Reese is insanely jealous of Clark.

2. A normal person celebrates with his or her team after winning a championship. There is a reason there are basically zero (or at most very few) examples of players taunting opponents at the moment they win a championship. If the starting place for any conversation regarding Reese/Clark was that Reese was a complete fuckhead in that moment, I would be willing to engage. But Reese's supporters STILL insist she did absolutely nothing wrong and that it is RACIST even to suggest otherwise.

3. Reese knows exactly what she is doing. She is basically the Andre Drummond of the WNBA and she has made herself insanely wealthy by making herself the villain foil to the WNBA's Steph Curry. She did that and absolutely continues to embrace it and profit from it. Excuse me if I roll my eyes when her defenders cry that she is treated as a villain.

Point #2 is spot on told me all I ever needed to know about her

She's brought almost all of this attention on herself by her own actions and has very seldom done or said anything that contradicts the narrative.

Angel even stated point blank "I'm okay being the villain".

I really don't like Reese very much. And I sympathize with Clark being targeted. But given the numbers GMAW pointed out, it's not about Reese. It's about Clark and how others in the league feel about her.
