(go to like 9:30:ish of the video) Guys are popping champagne bottles and everyone hugging was Matt. I've never seen any kind of show end like that. Definitely seemed like they were celebrating the end of something more more than just a tour ending.

Also the fact that they played Hunger Strike during this show on the anniversary of Chris Cornell's death seems very intentional for Matt's last show.

You can count on one hand the number of guys ahead of him on that list who started in 1980 or later.

That list is overwhelmingly people from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. For the modern era, he's easily one of the top drummers during the time when most of the people on this board have been actively listening to music.

he joined the band in 1998, and I pretty much only listened to their first three albums, before he joined the band. I'm also not really a know the band members type of music fan.

Obviously Eddie Vedder is a God here, and Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament are fixtures in the community, plus Mike McCready plays the national anthem a lot at local sporting events.
