Job is easy and in air conditioning, and I’d be able to go to the beach after work and on days off. Lifeguard at a resort pool in Vegas might be fun. But my fallback position is always going to be pilot of a sightseeing seaplane on St. Thomas. Not as a summer gig.....as a full time retirement job. I ever had. Drove around in a truck all summer turning b-boxes and water valves. No supervision or real expectations. When people didn't pay their water bill we showed up to turn off their water. Usually it was just people on vacation and one time we got assigned the neighbor of Billy Williams, who just happened to be out in his front lawn. Talked to him for 20 minutes and got his autograph. Best summer of my life. Also that was the last time the minimum wage was raised so got a $2/hr bump the second year.
