Midtown, though lacking in neighborhood feel, is probably the most convenient location.

We stayed there for spring break this year and it worked well.

We did this a few years ago and stayed in Manhattan. Around 49th St and Park Ave…

Google maps calls it Midtown East. It was centrally located, since we went to Central Park, Lincoln Center, Brooklyn Bridge, The Met, MoMA, Highline, Broadway area, East Village, etc. it was a pretty quiet area, few blocks from Rockefeller Center, Bryant Park, Radio city Music hall

We were a few blocks from multiple train lines, so I’d plan to get whatever the multiple day tourist train pass is.

Though last year we went back and stayed in the East village, since we seemed to like that area more and did fewer tourist things.

Also, Laguardia the most convenient?*

Theoretically, it takes 33 minutes to travel 11 miles from LaGuardia to midtown.

But there's a lot of potential for it to get snarled.

Yeah. That’s where you will likely spend most of your time.

Major museums and attractions are there. Suggest a neighborhood south of Central Park but not midtown that has some character and has good access to transportation.
