No mention of 40th anniversary of Live Aid, so you get my thoughts

Simply the greatest day of pop rock music in history and an event that saved thousands and thousands of lives.
I watched and listened to much of that day's events throughout the day today, and I'm still astounded by the event and the performances. The finale in London was probably the greatest collection of pop and rock music talent ever assembled on one stage.
It was not perfect by any means but it was an amazing technological marvel to put it together forty years ago.
I highly encourage anyone and everyone to go to youtube and watch some of the performances from that day.
As a young twenty something who had just moved to southern California, I was mesmerized and can honestly say it was a life changing day for me.
