I think my oldest will get away with her undergrad and graduate degrees for about $25k including tuition and rent. We're lucky / she did things right.

So that's better than state school with no aid?*

In our case aid = scholarships. So combined with the generally lower in-state tuition we're getting off fairly easy. (And that she's commuting from home for grad school.)

Kid #2 will likely be another story.

Doesn’t take a particularly generous aid package to make private school competitive, and most privates have more money for aid than publics.

Ideally cost won’t be the determining factor for Sprout, but it might end up that way. I’m worried we are in the zone where we can’t actually afford anything close to private school tuition but make enough money that the formula will decide we can. In which case, looks like the University of Maryland!

They definitely are. GC Jr is a Domer and tuition, room and board is close to 90K*
