...those are the ones that caught my eye more than the show cause nonsense... plus just the pure monetary hit.

A 25% reduction in football official visits during the 2025-26 season.

A 14-week prohibition on recruiting communications in the football program during the probation period.

These kinds of punishments are not going to be a deterrent for anyone. There need to be actual consequences that cause pain for your program in the future. Even taking titles away in name doesn’t mean that much.

In the unlimited transfer era, players can leave instantly if the school gets hit with sanctions. They aren’t stuck there. If it’s actually a serious offense, you need to be giving out postseason bans. Of course that assumes that they’re interested in actually punishing schools like Michigan.

and coaches were reaping the benefits of the cheating by playing for teams that had more fan support, etc. for better facilities, etc. That excuse has always been bullshit and is more bullshit now.

Wanna show some balls? Suspend the HC for the tOSU games.

Fly him to Chicago after the Friday practices, then take away his phone and have him sit next to the Commish in the B1G office and watch the games on TV.

Especially since the 2 game farce of a suspension this year, games 3 and 4.*

The suspension from U-M was the second for Moore in three years – he missed one game early in the 2023 season as punishment for pandemic-era recruiting violations – and, more curiously, it is not simply the first two games of the year. If it were, that would be U-M's season opener against New Mexico and the Wolverines' Week 2 visit to Oklahoma, which happens to be Moore's alma mater.

Instead, Moore agreed to a suspension for Weeks 3 and 4, covering a home game against Central Michigan and the Big Ten opener on the road at Nebraska, respectively. The NCAA added to that punishment Friday as ESPN reported Moore is barred from coaching the Wolverines for one more game. According to CBS Sports, that third game will be the 2026 opener in Germany.
