When I was younger I'd put salt on watermelon. Now... can't believe I liked it.

Go for the spherical ones vs the elongated ones. Spherical ones are sweeter. Elongated ones are watery.
Flip in around to find the spot where it was on the ground. The more yellow that is, the riper the melon.
