Do you use a thumb drive of your music collection in your car?

I do and hope I’m not the only one. My current car’s usb set up is very intuitive and shows all my mp3 and m4a files on my drive. However, many cars that I’ve rented only show a subset and was frustrating. I will make it a point to bring my thumb drive with me if I want to trade in and get a newer car because it can be a deal breaker.

I’m reluctant to even upgrade to the newer model of my car as it doesn’t have a dial in the center console, which is quite perfect

for anybody to make music and push it out to the masses, you have to wade through a lot of shit.

The gatekeepers used to do that for us, but they're basically gone now, and instead of an album being practically limited by the number of songs that you can fit on a record, tape, or CD, the more popular artists are incentivized to shit out 25 or 30 tracks and see what gets traction.

But the record companies had already kind of started this in the mid 90s when they would trend hop onto groups with one good song, pack the album with garbage, and release zero singles so you had to buy the whole album.

that can appeal to specific groups. My argument for momoculture is that there is so much division right now, and monoculture served as a centering point of commonality that helped bring people together. I respect the POV that I'm a straight white male, and therefore the world has mostly revolved around me for most of my lifetime.

Let's take Taylor and Travis as an example. They have haters, for sure, but their relationship dynamic genuinely makes people happy.
