Don't recall why I picked that one. I thought it was pretty good. Previous Message Four Thousand Weeks was good. A helpful reminder to me to be more purposeful and realistic in what I do and want to do. Discipline is Destiny was great. Had some similar themes as Four Thousand Weeks and overlap with it, but I liked the overall book and content more. The book sounded like Atomic Habits in parts, which is a book I also enjoyed. But I thought the chapters and ideas were relatively compact and built progressively in the book, so I didn't feel like I lost info from chapter four by time I got to chapter 14.

Currently reading The Anxious Generation. going to look into other Haidt books next*

Terrible. Feinstein’s laziest work. Turned a good premise into essentially a play-by-play of the 2023 Ivy season. Previous Message Four Thousand Weeks was good. Most interesting novel I’ve read recently was Lay Your Armor Down by Michael Farris Smith. Kind of a noir-ish dark suspense story, shades of early Tarantino by way of Cormac McCarthy. Really well written, I thought it was excellent. Family Matters by Olivia Wolfgang-Smith. Was also really enjoyable. Funny and entertaining historical fiction about turn of the century New York City and its industrialists and high society. Also read The Raider by Stephan Platt, an excellent biography of Evans Carlson, one of the founding fathers of US special operations during the Second World War. Led a fascinating life, including extensive time in China where he embedded with Communist Party forces and took a lot of lessons in irregular warfare. Read a lot of novels recently that were fine. Nothing wrong with that. Most novels are fine. The question is why you think they deserve your time? In this list are Family Matters by Mistry, The Book of Records by Thien, The Emperor of Gladness by Vuong. Previous Message Four Thousand Weeks was good.
