Sydney McLaughlin just won the world championship in the 400m, smashing the American record that she set in the previous round.

This is border line absurd considering she just made the switch to the 400m flat relatively recently after owning the 400m hurdles for years. And considering the competition in the 400 flat is much tougher than in hurdles.

Very good 75.10 throw in the final. Winner had an obscene 80+ throw. (WR is 82.98)
