bringing Darnold back would have been a disaster either way; either your top 10 2024 draft pick would be sitting on the bench, or your backup QB would have a $35 million+ cap hit

49ers next 3 games are vs. Panthers, @Browns, vs. Titans which would already get them to 9 wins with 3 games left.

Other scenario would be the Packers continuing to lose games, I suppose. They have a very tough remaining schedule, I just need to see the Bears actually beat them in a meaningful game.

Them needing to win the game only happened because of their own mistakes, and the game-winning drive was just a kick return. Not like the others where the offense had to make plays, though I will say that the 7 yard gain right before the kick was pretty big.
