Without doing crowd work. Roy Wood Jr. made me laugh out loud hard. Less famous, Alex Babbitt is great and very charismatic. Alison Leiby is crazy talented but extremely neurotic. I love her sense of humor.

I used to be the sommelier for a wine and comedy night. So I have been lucky to see a lot of the top up and coming comics in the city. The comedy talent is very strong right now. I think despair makes the comedy better even if it hasn't caught the zeitgeist yet

Hasan Minhaj - well known, but top tier for me. His comedy is my wheelhouse.

Alex Edelman - definitely an acquired taste. He’s possibly autistic and *very* Jewish, so I can easily see his style and general demeanor be grating for some people. But as a Jew myself, very funny.

Jordan Jensen - I saw her the longest ago so I forget the specifics of her set, but I remember laughing my ass off. Definitely raunchier.
