other games. And with respect to Northwestern, I can't glean too much from that game given the weather and circumstances - once it became clear that NU couldn't move the ball against the more aggressive D (why not be aggressive the whole game?) scheme, I think we shut it down.

Saban turning around LSU was harder than his Bama turnaround

LSU only won 10 games twice from 1980-2000 (Saban was hired in 2000) and only played in 9 bowl games in 20 years. they had a 6 year span where they went 25-41 in the 80s.

since Saban they missed one bowl game during the COVID season when they fired Orgeron.

once I went to college and started paying attention to CFB (2001) until Saban got there. They'd had two 10 win seasons, and only four total winning seasons, in their last 10 years prior to him (ie, after Stallings left)

so, like I said...they didn't "fall off", but they didn't seem to be much of anything for a while.
