Some of that comes from my expectations having played the game, but even then, the structure the writers chose for the story made absolutely no sense.

But also, Bella Ramsey just wasn't the right casting choice.

The girl who played Bella was a terrible choice, given that she is expected to evolve into a mature adult. It just doesn't work. The girl who played Abby woud have been a much better choice for Bella. She just outshines her in every single way.

I first saw the actress who plays Abby on Justified (spoiler inside)

you knew immediately that she would be good. I looked her up, and she's 29, I recall her being really young in Justified.

Spoiler - IMO thought her scene with Joel was stupid and her acting bad in the lodge.
