It’s not like baseball where you play 162 games so you can do a random one-off alternate jersey to goose sales. You get two jerseys once every 4 years, why not actually use the national colors?

I do wish they would *REALLY* get it right for WC cycles, but there have been a fair number of misses.

06 and 10 were bad ass though... some of my favorite ones, with the 09 Confed Cup white kits also in the mix.

Boring isn’t the worst thing. I stand by my complaint about the color, though. If it reads Navy in person, that’s ok, but this looks black or really dark grey, which I just don’t get at all as a primary color. If you want to work it in as an accent, to make things look less superhero-y, that’s one thing, but I think the primary color should be one of the main team colors.
