Printers have come a long way. Got my son a Bambu A1 for Christmas this year

He had his first print within an hour, and every print since then has been little to no fucking around.

Contrast that with even a Prusa, let alone DD's monoprice thing, and Bambu is lightyears ahead for the average user.

I've got an old Monoprice printer that's about 10 years old now.

I think I'd print more if I had a printer that wasn't such a massive pain in the ass to use.

What's a good current mid-range printer to look into? Is the closed ecosystem of Bambu as big of a deal as some people seem to make it out to be?

Bambu is the best, so unless you are basically an open source zealot or something

like that, or if you want your hobby to be 3d printers and not 3d printing, just buy a bambu.

P1S w/ AMS is probably a good starting point if the cost is OK. You could find those pretty cheaply last time I looked. They replaced it with the P2 but the upgrades were minimal.
