The girls (my daughter and theirs) are HS basketball teammates and have been wanting to attend an Illinois women's game ever since we took them last season. Just so happened that on a night they were scheduled to get out of practice early UCLA was coming to town. Give Illinois credit, they battled #2 in the country. Forget when it was exactly, but there was a chance for the game to get out of hand, but Illinois rallied, and as larue wrote, had a chance to get the game down to 2 possessions late. Illinois seems to have the making of a good young core. Should be fun to watch going forward. Lauren Betts is a beast. The only thing that slowed her down was foul trouble in the first half and some poor shooting on layups. Illinois didn't really have an answer. Her little sister looks to be a player as well.
