Anyone watching Fallout? (sp)

Finale in a few days.

I just love how the nailed the vibe and the visuals of the games. They put a lot of care into making things look like they do in the games.

Hearing a voice in power armor say "Your arm fell off." just killed me this past week. And they sure got the Canadians hating Americans thing. Walton Goggins is just great in whatever he is in. The cameos by the likes of Kumail Nanjiani, Ron Perlman and Clancy Brown make it too.

Looks like the remaster of Fallout 3 may be coming as soon as next week. Read somewhere that the prior versions had apparently been taken down from download sites like Steam.

It was fine but not spectacular. Surprised by Hank and his “wife” being Enclave. Guessing the Enclave HQ is in the Rockies in the direction The Ghoul is headed. Surprised to see Mr. House bested. Bet we haven’t seen the last of Hank despite the ending.

Not really digging Macaulay Culkin in this. Hope they find a way to keep Thaddeus around after he becomes a Centaur or whatever.

And it looks like the vaults are gonna get FEVd.

Threads without Goggins are sluggish

The vault stuff has largely gone nowhere in season 2. Goggins is excellent.

I am completely unaware of the game, which probably reduces the enjoyment.

The arm falling off got me too. The shot of him still trying to work things out while holding his detached arm was hilarious.

I never played the games. Looking forward to how they tie this up.

I've played some not all of the games. If he got the FEV, and a bad dose of it from the Snake Oil salesman, he's in for a world of hurt and the Ghoul knows he's gonna have to end him at some point. Best case scenario for the FEV is it kills you right away. Second best is you become a Super Mutant (like the guy who rescued the Ghoul played by Ron Perlman). Beyond that you end up an abomination.

The first few episodes of the 2nd season didn’t feel as good to me as the first season. But the back half of the season, in particular once they got to New Vegas, have been on par with S1. No clue how to take the reveal of the congresswoman’s head as the mainframe for the mind control thing.

the look and feel of the show has always felt exactly like the games. It’s incredibly well done.

Watching this season makes me wish I could replay the game but I’m not subscribing to the service required to do so. But I’ll definitely get the remastered F3 when it’s available.

I saw a good explanation of the Congresswoman that I buy into.

She was clearly a docile, meek idealist who thought Mr. Krabs was a moral President and totally not Enclave. Do you want your mind control mainframe powered by the mind of a sociopath or someone like her?

Poor Thaddeus. Asks the Ghoul if "this is normal, right?" And he looks at him like "the fuck it is."
