Previous Message My first trip to the Galen Center and it is a beautiful compact Arena and we had great seats six rows off the court.. and just a few rows behind Caleb Williams. It was 2/3 full at best with a pretty even mix of Illinois and USC fans. That being said not a lot of energy from the USC crowd even before the start of the game. USC band was in full force although they didn't get to play much due to the overbearing DJ trying to Hype up the crowd unsuccessfully. We got there two big songs and of course Tusk. Illinois size, defense, shooting, and rebounding absolutely stifled USC the whole game. So nice to have Boswell back and he is definitely a team leader out there. I do wonder if it takes some performance off of Wagler but he did what was needed from him in a very very balanced scoring attack. Obviously nice to have Dre back as well and he was the leading scorer. On to legendary Pauley Pavilion on Saturday evening against a good but troubled UCLA team right now coming off back to back blowout defeats.

I think it's a lot closer for that final 1 seed than people realize. Iowa St/Houston probably have the edge right now, but really the only thing separating us is the couple of extra losses, which hurts our SOR. But our SOS is dramatically better, which might offset that. And we have better metrics and more 1A wins (4 for UConn, 4 for ISU, 2 for Houston, 5 for us) Previous Message Beat scUM, too? Tomorrow evening the beloved land in southern California to take on the Trojans of USC. USC is currently 48 in the NET, making this a quad 1 game for both teams. USC's season took a turn when guard Rodney Rice was injured in December...since then it's been Baker-Mazara, Ausar, and lil Arenas that have been carrying them.
