So my son plays in a 10/11 year old league. This weekend they’re in the play offs. All teams play.
I was watching the team that they were playing during warmups and I said to myself these kids played better than I’ve seen any team in the league play. And there were two really big kids that I’ve never seen before.
Their team scored the first goal took a 1-0 lead. My son‘s team came back and scored two goals and by the end of the second period it was 2-1, my son‘s team leading.
Midway through the third period, the other team tied it and then the floodgates opened and they ended up scoring 3 straight (one an open net goal) to win 5-2.
Well, low and behold it turns out that the other team cheated. They pulled kids from the travelling team that had never played in this league before. There was a girl on this team that I’ve never seen before that was skating better than everyone on my son‘s team. So they forfeited the game.
What would possess a team coach in the 10/11 year-old in-house league to cheat???!!!Recrudescence
