Very interesting story out of the champions league where the Benfica player is suspended for the 2nd leg due to allegation of racist abuse.

His defense is that he simply used an anti-gay slur instead of a racist one.

The effort is just not there. I don't know how good the parts are outside of a couple of guys, but my god they just don't seem to care.

That City dropped 5 points to that team is by far the best argument that Arsenal deserves the league this year.

this is so much deeper than frank, who was awful. the team construction is not there. some players are just bad. and even if individual players are considered "good," they don't fit. like gallagher. good player. but I don't even know what position he's playing here? spence, good player. but is he even a left back? does he ever make a difference there? palinha and bissouma, just not nearly good enough on the ball. dragusin, wanted in italy, but is he actually good? vicario, pretty solid ball stopper, but i've never seen anyone weaker on corners, or worse booting it down field.

it's just a bad team straight up.

One challenge is, half the guys you mentioned weren’t even supposed to be playing any role at all this year but are forced into it because of yet another injury crisis.

But even without the injury crisis, this team was just constructed terribly from the start with no passers in it and a bunch of meh talent. Hope the Lewis family has a few more hundred million dollars to burn because they’re gonna need it to get this team back into the top of the table.

Also don’t like that it seems like they held off on moves because of Dejan and Maddison eventually returning. Those guys are unlikely to ever be able to play at the level they were at again, based on their injuries. You should really be assuming they’ll give you 0 and anything more is a bonus.

Also sell Romero, this guy is sneaky meh, please someone throw a bag at us.

And FFS, stop buying meh Premier League players, go find guys on the continent.
