Aston Martin today admitted they can’t run more than 25 laps because the vibration from their new Honda power units is so bad.

Bad enough that they are risking nerve damage to the drivers’ hands.

Has to be one of the most epic fails in F1 history. Especially considering how much money Stroll the elder has invested in that team.

Mercedes into those long stints?

Maybe they knew they couldn’t hang with Mercedes straight up?

I enjoy Ferrari mucking up strategy as much as anyone, but not sure they did here. Or maybe the situation just played out to make them look better.

It cost them around ten seconds. Maybe wouldn't have mattered in the end but it hurt their chances.

It went vsc right as they passed entry, and by the time they got around again, the pit lane entry was closed.

They'll develop over time.

Last regulation change was like a 2 second drop in time. By the end of the regulation era they were setting lap records at every track.

Teams get a handle on this stuff pretty fast. They hire a lot of really good engineers.

Hoping to keep this as F1 and not political. But there's no way they can go to Bahrain right?

That seems impossible even if somehow this is stopped by then.

And to a lesser extent Saudi even though that's on the other side of the country and hasn't been targeted.

There was a huge issue the last time the Houthis targeted the oil refinery while they were in Saudi. Can't imagine they'd go there now.

Had seen that Portimao and Imola were replacement options.

Or sounds like these races will just be cancelled like Imola in 23*
