Some of their music could certainly considered prog (especially early/mid stuff) as there were certainly some influences with Yes, Genesis, and others. Prog, hard rock, soft rock, pop, new wave...they checked a lot of boxes, and yes, "arena rock" is a category to put them in. For a long time, my absolute favorite band, a lot of what attracted my fandom was their immense variety.

Still highly recommend the Return to Paradise concert that can be found on YouTube. 15 years after their peak, they reunited and the performance is as good as a live show as you will ever get musically.

I think of them as arena rock *shrug**
