I said to my wife afterwards that if I have seen a better movie over the last few years, I can’t think what it was. I’m planning to read the the book now, but did hear walking out that the ending is pretty different.

Only reason I scheduled during the game was because my son is in from Germany for a family emergency and it was something that we could all do together

Definitely read the book. It is really good IMO. Looking forward to seeing the movie. *

I highly recommend reading the book, it's a quick read and adds a lot of the science-y stuff they didn't have time for in the movie.

Someone saying that the ending is different is being very overdramatic and is probably a book reader annoyed that it wasn't identical.

Read the book and just saw the movie. (Sp?)

I think they got the essence of the book.

I really liked both. I knew they couldn’t possibly do the whole book. There’s just too much. I think they did as much as they could without letting it drag.
