On hour 4 of trying to get my old iPhone to copy over to my new 17 pro.

This is the worst, non-working experience I’ve had in some time. When did Apple become such a piece of shit? If I wanted horrible software experience I would have bought an Android. At least I’d have the better tech.

My 80 year old mom is also having trouble with this same thing. But she just mashes buttons

First time I’ve had this problem transitioning iPhones. I’ve gone through many of them and this used to be a seamless process.

Only once had an issue transferring with phones next to each other (done this ~a dozen times) and it was because we forgot to shut off Find MY (or something like that) with the old phone. No issues after completing that step.

I ended up getting it to work overnight by connecting them via cable.
