And that will be a problem for Russia which could speed up a resolution. But I still question how Ukraine gets land back so I have doubts about that.

may actually work out as he's lost a ton of leverage and the rest of Europe is helping more now too. Democracies have a staying power autocratic governments don't if you play your cards right.

Ukraine may be killing Russians faster than Russia can replace them. They are also doing meaningful damage to Russia's oil industry. Russia can likely keep this going for a long time, but without any real benefit. Putin may die, or be helped to that fate, no idea which way new leadership would go.

I read that 350K Russian soldiers have died with a total of 1.2MM casualties.

We lost 50K soldiers in Nam and the whole country went nuts before Nixon called it a tie.

1.7 million dead in WW1, probably 10 million or more in their civil war, maybe 20 million killed by Stalin, 27 million in WW2. They are good at enduring, and writing novels, maybe not much else.
