This Saturday, went into Wrigleyville to catch the game at a bar.

We chose to try the new Kincade's to check it out, after also considering Bernie's and Murphy's. Stopped at Billy Goat for a late night burger on the way home and to honor the memory of Sam Sianis.

I can't believe there's that many people during the off-season or during away games going "Let's meet at the Sportsbook at Wrigley!" when there are so many other great choices to opt for instead.

I just know that everytime I've walked by, even when the Cubs were in town, it's looked empty..but it's also such a huge space so....*shrug*

I’ve been in there a few times and hardly ever saw anyone going up to the live betting area. One because most people are just there as a place to eat or drink before/after the game, but also because anyone who likes sports betting will surely have the app on their phone and can do it from there.

So I’m sure it was just a total waste of money to have that there, and as I said below they can now open it up to not just be 21+ which will probably bring in way more potential customers than the 1% that were using a live betting machine in the year 2026.

The popularity of using your phone app, the low volume of in-person betting at this location during the 2025 season: all that shoulda been decided by say, March 15.

(Really don't know if there's been any recent changes to tax rates. Maybe that's the "straw that broke the camel's back". Who knows. Eh.)

I don't know a single person who ever went in.

Don't get me wrong, it looked really nice inside....for something on the Vegas strip, not attached to a national landmark.
