Probably 10 or 15 years ago, there was a giant music file bouncing around that had MP3's of every Billboard Top 100 song for every year from like 1953 until the early or mid 2010's (I think), plus a ton of additional albums.....probably close to 1000. I had that file loaded on a 1TB external HD that appears to have given up the ghost.
I know I can listen to probably any song on that drive on Spotify, or Amazon, or Apple if I go looking for it directly, but I really liked having MP3 versions of them so I can move them to my swimming headphones (that aren't BT compatible, since BT doesn't work under water), or onto personally curated playlists on my phone for when I'm working out (which pretty much is just walking right now, but eventually I'll get cleared to start with my normal workouts, and I listen to a ton of music when I'm working out.....).
Does anyone remember the name of that music file? I haven't messed with torrents for years after getting a wrist slap from my ISP about DCRM violations, but I figure I can fire up my VPN and hide long enough to get this loaded on a drive if I can find it. I know that the tracker I used back in the day is now a malicious malware laden site that scares me to even type into my browser, so I'll have to find a tracker, too.
I remember that the file was making it's way around here back in the day.....anyone with any leads on this?
