Teens and a preteen two years ago and we had a great time. Lord of cool animal stuff, museums (Balboa Park), Ocean with seals and cool birds. Previous Message suggestions? beautiful. and NYE fireworks are bananas there (second hand info from a friend). mainland portugal is sweet. love porto, but it can be cool and rainy. algaves area along the south can be warm enough to swim and lagos is a cool town. we did quebec city and montreal. cold as shit, but that's what makes it somewhat affordable, and they are winter wonderlands at that time of year, particularly quebec city. we did san diego. pretty standard, but you get nice weather. not 75 that time of year, but compared to the rest of the country, still pleasant. we also just did portugal last year, porto and lisbon. it's a little warmer and slightly sunnier than london during that period. would recommend.
