Nolan Ryan took the mound for the Texas Rangers in the first of a 3-game series with the Brewers. And although the Brewers would sweep, the 43-year old Ryan went 7 2/3 innings, throwing 146 pitches (including 103 strikes) to record his 300th win.

I’m pretty sure that no other pitcher has reached the 300 win milestone since. I’m checking the win record of every MLB pitcher since that time, alphabetically. I am through the “B’s” and haven’t found one

From 1998-2004 he was 23rd in MLB in fWAR amongst starting pitchers while averaging 400 less innings than the 22 pitchers ahead of him on the list.

Dude pitched on 4 Cubs playoff teams. Not very many can say that. Jon Lester, Kyle Hendricks, and Pedro Strop are 3 others

12 wins short of 300. I think you could comfortably pencil him in for about 550 or so.
