I think one of the problems for adults with pro wrestling is that to a large degree it’s aimed at children. And it needs to be because that’s how they hook you for life. So being on ESPN makes it much easier for my kid to see it, although, like you, I find that a bit annoying. Those kids eventually stop watching altogether, maybe stick with WWE, maybe migrate to more “hardcore” promotions, etc. But the WWE largely hooks you in childhood.
WWE is for certain types of fans, and a big % of that is children. Watching it with my 11 and 7 year old is awesome

I kinda hate that it’s now so ubiquitous on ESPN. I like the niche-ness of it better. Seems weird being on Sports Center regularly
